The HITS 16-Hour Refresher course for telecommunicators
has been developed to meet state-level training standards
for public safety telecommunicators. This product
provides state required training on critical skills
and knowledge that telecommunicators must possess
to maintain performance of their mission. This computer-based
interactive training solution presents 16 hours of
standardized training on CD-ROM. Each of the eight
modules provides instruction on core training topics
recommended for telecommunicators nationwide. The
modular style of instruction presents major educational
elements in a logical format, which accommodates visual,
auditory, and kinesthetic learning.
This two CD set presents a single user with focused,
self-paced instruction with the assistance of audio,
video, and text. The self-contained program challenges
the user with embedded questions and scenario driven
exercises throughout the course that provides remediation
and feedback. You must complete all module content
before taking the module final examination. Each module
examination consists of a specific amount of questions.
You must achieve a passing score of 80%. When you
complete the examination, you may print off a Record
of Training that documents your success. Upon completion
of each module, you will no longer be able to access
the module content. The module title will change color
to indicate you have completed the content.
